Marina Diamandis, formerly known by her stage name
Marina & The Diamonds, has topped the charts with music
that blends powerful pop with an indie sound. Her songs have
tackled female stereotypes, rape culture and the frivolity of fame
- but the last album was in 2015. Marina took three years
off and went to study psychology and attachment theory. Now back
with a new album, she talks to Krishnan about her return to music,
how political events have influenced her writing and how the media
should change the way they treat women.
